Abertillery Orpheus Choir Open International
Choral Festival in Montana.
Abertillery Orpheus Male Choir has returned home after representing Wales and opening the Missoula International Choral Festival in the USA.
The Missoula International Choral Festival comprises a series of 25 public concerts from over 20 choirs from 5 continents, where each of the Choirs reform individual programmes throughout Festival week. Whilst attending the event Choirs have the opportunity to interact with fellow choral conductors and singers from around the globe, attending the various ICF social functions and meeting with the other Festival choir members and conductors.
Since their return the Choir have already had approaches to form links with Choirs from Estonia and South Korea At the conclusion of the Festival, all choirs joined together to perform under the direction of Artistic Director Donald Carey and Special Guest Conductor Diane Loomer for a Finale Concert of over 850 voices.
